I was thrilled with the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms, along with the extremely helpful and friendly staff. The location near Croydon and with convenient parking added to the positive experience. However, the lack of air conditioning and the noisy surroundings affected my overall comfort during the stay.

The hotel had its ups and downs. The rooms, despite not smelling pleasant even with the window open, offered great amenities like an excellent power shower, comfy bed, strong Wi-Fi, and the best breakfast. However, they tended to be a little too warm, feeling like saunas at times.

The hotel offers a great price for the south London location, but was disturbed by deliveries early Sunday mornings and a building site opposite during the week. The service was exceptional, handling a busy period very well and providing a personal touch. The location in Croydon centre was convenient, but occasionally felt more authoritative than customer-focused. The dining experience, although nice, had limited vegetarian options. Overall, a good value stay with room for improvement in noise levels and vegetarian menu variety.

However, the staff may come off more as gatekeepers than customer service agents, though the absence of unpleasant odors was appreciated. The dining experience, while lovely, may require a wait for hot food, managed by the same person as the receptionist, and offering self-service options for babies. The facilities include the usual hypnos beds and a good location close to Costa Coffee, though rooms may be too hot at times requiring an additional fan from reception.

The hotel is conveniently located near Croydon with excellent bus service and safe parking. The rooms, while hot and in need of a makeover, are well-positioned away from the busy A23. The dining experience offers cooked-to-order meals, but lacks a variety of fresh fruit. The service is proactive and helpful, while the facilities could use improvements.
